BBLS Stingrays Take First Meet vs Wembley

Despite a rocky start to concessions*, it was a thrilling and water-filled season opener. The BBLS Stingrays started the season off with a splash, taking a 200-134 victory over the Wembley Waves.


“The meet started out a bit hectic,” said coach Haleigh Shafer, “but we pulled out the dub.”


“For a really weird meet, I think we did pretty good,” shared Makena Maurer.


Coach Kyle McAbier added that there’s always room for improvement, emphasizing the importance of attending practices.


Additionally, swimmer Tyler Adams, who won the Boys 15-18 50 Breaststroke, said, “It was so amazing. Everyone did so well.”


Overall, the sentiment was very positive, reflecting the swims from the meet. All signs point towards another strong season!
