Okay, so that headline might have been a little click-baity, but it got your attention! The BBLS swim team is back up and swimming, which means your favorite neighborhood blog is back too! We’re so excited to be relaunching The Deep End this year, fresh with swim meet and practice information, blog posts, team pictures–– and a fun Q&A with this year’s coaches.
We talked to returning coaches Haleigh, Makenna, and Kyle to get their thoughts on the upcoming swim season. Makenna and Haleigh are both long-time swimmers, having been part of the BBLS and Kenston swim teams for many years prior to their graduation. Haleigh was even on USA Swimming Teams LESD and CVMS! All three are now in college, where they continue to have a passion for swimming while also studying their respective majors!
The coaches agreed that they can’t wait to see everyone again in-person. “I am most excited to see all the kids and families again and get back to normal! I can’t wait to be back together as a big group!” said Makenna.
Haleigh added that she hopes they can “make this season the best it can be for the kids” so that the team can reconnect and grow.
Though the coaches seem to agree about their goals and hopes for this year, they remain divided on one key issue:
Who would win in a fight? A billion lions or one of each Pokémon?
